@techokami @jaseg it's like when you look at physics closely and - there is no magic to be found anywhere.
and then you look at quantum physics, and it's exclusively magic.

@count @techokami For sure. Even deep in computer science there's stuff that is pretty close to magic. My favorites are in the cryptography space, stuff like error correcting codes, secret sharing schemes, and multiparty computation.
