@rickscully depending on what you enjoy, Gatineau Park is massive and offers a lot of hiking trails or scenic walking paths. Also, I would recommend getting some kind of local pizza or shawarma to see how it stacks up.

@rickscully If you like art, the National Gallery is an excellent option, as are some of the other nearby museums, Nature off Elgin street, the Canadian War Museum, at Lebreton, and History, which you're already aware of. What do you *like* to do? If you enjoy walking, you could just walk up the canal to Lansdowne, or Dow's Lake if you're up for a longer stroll. You could rent bikes and explore the area's bike paths.

@rickscully Rent-a-bike and bike up the canal and get a slice of pizza and gelato at Farinella on Rochester near Dow's Lake. Then head up to Hartwells lockstation, cross over the canal and head back down the other side. https://www.rentabike.ca/ https://www.farinellaeats.com/ https://parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/on/rideau/visit/posteeclusage-lockstation/ecluse-lock-hartwells
