@theirongiant @danieltufvesson I don't think encryption makes any difference, nobody is going to MITM a list of GlobalTalk IP addresses, this list doesn't contain any of the personal info from the sheet. But instead of a secret URL it should be behind a password that gets rotated between seasons.

    @kalleboo @danieltufvesson - yep, a seasonal / annual password would suffice. The host of the file would need to rotate it sometime at the beginning of the year. Anyone (or any robot) who fetches the raw file would receive the equivalent of scrambled pay-per-view channels. Then the only question remains is how people register and maintain their nodes. The variety of data in the spreadsheet is useful but not searchable right now. It would be wonderful to access it from within a connected vintage Mac for quick reference, like knowing when someone's printer is offline (or what time zone they're in to avoid printing ImageWriter jobs at 3AM). The list also needs to auto-purge dead hosts after X number of days...
