  #GlobalTalk I cannot get meson setup to build #netatalk 4.4.2 because it thinks there's no database system available. I have installed both sqlite3 and mysql/mariadb, and I can't tell if Berkeley DB (dbd) is installed or even possible on this platform. What am I missing? Is this a known problem on Raspberry Pi's?   @smallsco @nikdoof - I can't seem to get afpd to tell me why it won't publish the shares I'm trying to define in the afp.conf file. Even if I set the log level to default:debug9. It should be flooding the journal. The folder /var/localtalk/CNID also exists. Any suggestions to get this working? Is it a permissions issue? Do I need to define another user on the RPi? What about a guest/nobody share? I've read the docs on the netatalk site at least 3 times th...

  Now that I have #netatalk compiled for the Raspberry Pi, I'm now struggling to get any folder shared and advertised over AppleTalk, or AFP, for that matter. This is for #GlobalTalk. edit : GOD DAMN IT. The documentation fails to mention that I should be editing THIS file: /usr/local/etc/afp.conf.   Attention #globaltalk #marchintosh participants: *please* validate your hostnames for DNS resolution. The Apple Internet Router waits ~45 seconds for DNS resolver timeout. Each invalid hostname causes AIR to take 45 seconds longer to start. That really adds up. See attached screenshot with colored highlights.   @kalleboo : This new After Dark screensaver for the #GlobalTalk network is wild! And you added a bunch of custom icons? Outstanding! I'm sure that the original developers from Berkeley Systems would probably love seeing a new screensaver module written nearly **four decades** after the software's introduction. #marchintosh
