Happy International Worker's Day Today, we honour the workers who built our communities, fought for fair pay, safe workplaces, dignity, and justice. We remember those who struggled before us and stand with those still fighting today. Solidarity matters as much now as ever. As Aneurin Bevan said: “No society can legitimately call itself civilised if a sick person is denied medical aid because of lack of means.” A reminder that progress comes when people stand together.

@Geri 'We remember those who struggled before us and stand with those still fighting today.' That's also 28 April - IWMD. There is a memorial tree at the National Memorial Arboretum for IWMD day. When I was allowed to drive, I used to attend on that day with the W. Mids unions.

@Geri I grew up in communist regime and 1st of May was a very important day Military parade in Central Brașov followed by working people in and singing the International Antem I was around 8 years old when we have to attend with my mum and other family friends we gathered for registration and we managed lost and we went back home Of course having a big garden the party started B&Q and booze
