@nicksherman @JTDType I had similarly pondered a naming scheme that would incidentally fall into alphabetic order. I was trying to use common designations that tend to have some general, relative consensus. Here’s what I had come up with as a potential:
Banner
Display
Heading
Subhead
Text
Tiny
XSmall
The small end is not entirely satisfactory, but there’s not a lot of alphabet left after “Text”. 🤷♂️

@kentlew @JTDType Not bad! I guess it similarly suffers from some of the terms having implications beyond size alone. I also have to constantly remind myself that many graphic designers have no idea what some terms like “Banner” even refer to. I’ve had multiple people admit to me that they thought a typeface was meant for digital screens because it had “Display” in the name.
