I most wanted to be fossil independent, & always overbuild, so have a 24kWh battery. I don't use much (one person), so this could cover 2-3 days use. Longer if essentials only. My EV has V2L, so it could help out, and my panels keep working, grid available or not.
On a sunny summer's day I could easily fill triple that. 🤷
