Now the Caveats:
- Obviously the initial purchase costs of the solar+EV outweighs the savings in the first year.
- I live in California, we get more sun than average.
- My work offers free EV charging, which accounts for maybe 1/3 of my charging.
- I'm not factoring in utility price hikes.

@tojiro you are also paying astronomical costs for solar and installs compared to most of the planet so there's a balance to be struck both ways in your comparisons

@tojiro In CA as well, super tempted to install Solar, but I think it would require an upgrade to our electrical panel and maybe some wiring. And our roof is on the outside edge of its lifetime. What happens with Solar when you have to redo your roof?
