@jonschwenn Maybe Chrome is using Google’s 8.8.8.8 etc. DNS and Safari is using the system-configured DNS?

@siracusa that is possible. WiFi at home uses 1.1.1.1 with 8.8.8.8 as a backup. What’s very confusing is the behavior follows me to cell networks which have their own DNS settings - and I traveled out of the country and it did it there too. As I typed all this out I thought of “private relay” as a possible culprit - but that is disabled in iCloud settings.
