@QueerMatters@mstdn.social firstly oh my god that's horrible and I'm so sorry you're in this position ❤️❤️❤️ I'll put down some broad advice and if there's any way I can help or you have any questions please reach out and I'll do my best ❤️ Reaching out for help is always the hardest and most important step ❤️❤️❤️ Having someone you can trust that you check in with at least once a day is a really good first step. If something suddenly happens and you can't be contacted they'll be able to raise the alarm quickly and speed is everything. In the same sort of lane, a safe place to 'escape' to where there are folks you can trust is important. Depending on your situation this can be difficult but it's worth organising if you can. Even just the peace of mind of "this is a safe place I could go" makes a huge difference ❤️ Depending on your area it might be a good idea to go to the authorities and see what options are available. From experience you will probably be disappointed by the options available. There's really not much the cops can do until something happens which... That's a rant for another day.... I want to be clear I'm not trying to dissuade you from going to the police in an emergency. Totally the opposite. Just... In a non emergency personally I would recommend talking to trans friendly organisations in your area, filling them in on the situation and seeing what they recommend doing/if they can offer any extra support Having a camera that faces where a car/person would enter the property is a good idea and you can get it to notify your phone/device when it's triggered (if you can place a camera safely ❤️). Also, check your phone to see if you have an emergency lockdown feature (on Android if you hit the power button I think 5 times you can trigger the lockdown mode). I'm sorry I don't have better advice and I really hope you're safe ❤️❤️

@captainvellalives@lgbtqia.space tysm for such a detailed response 💖💖💖. I’m doing most of those things so it seems I’m off to a solid start. Thankfully I have several places I can seek refuge if needed, as well as multiple people checking in on me. So fingers crossed nothing will go down 🙏
