@McsaMatt the issue is something like that just does not have anywhere in the same universe of build quality etc.
I love apples products but I deeply dislike their practices

@reece I’m a firm proponent in the thesis from @pluralistic that in a consumer society you can’t buy/not buy your way to change as an individual. So I say, do the best thing for you economically (buy things that are well made and last) and use them to organize to change the system. Let Apple sell you the hammer you use to smash the system that allows their shitty practices.
