@audioflyer79@mstdn.social I would suggest starting at https://meshmap.net/ to see what other nodes are around. Of course they won't all be listed. Install the Meshtastic app on your phone, tablet or computer. Check that your device has the latest firmware version. Then configure it. https://meshtastic.org/ has detailed instructions.

@audioflyer79@mstdn.social You probably want to check for your local meshtastic community - looks like there's a reddit and a FB page. They may have suggested/requested settings to manage noise on the network. e.g. NYC uses an alternate channel and asks people to limit GPS and status pings. (no one needs to know your location every 60 seconds if you're just sitting on your couch :)
