Something that made me laugh was the appointment time my health centre gave me for the vaccine clinic - 10.09 am. I also had the option of 10.01 am. I guess they have some new booking system that is run either by AI or by a very efficient time and motion consultant.
As anyone who has ever stepped inside a health centre knows, they never run exactly on time, let alone to the precise minute! Of course I had to wait a few minutes, as I expected 😆

@simplicitarian@cloudisland.nz there’s psychology research that indicates that giving people a time that looks “minute precise” (eg 10:01 / 10:09) makes them more likely to think “to the minute” matters more than a top of hour (or 10:00), quarter hour (10:15 / 10:30 / 10:45), or even “rounded” to 10 minutes or 5 minutes time. It possibly helps contradict people’s expectation of “have to wait anyway, no point on being early / rushing tone on time”… which then increases the chances they can stay nearly on time.
