Trump's such an intense fanboy of the British royal family that Charles is probably one of the only people who might be able to get away with criticizing Trump without winding up on the receiving end of Truth Social screeds.
Of course, he might not have noticed the brutality of Charles' speech at all. Americans generally miss a lot of withering British commentary anyhow because it's communicated subtly, and Donald Trump is the densest American.

@Holberg@mstdn.social My wife once had dinner at a conference in England, during which one of her dining companions commented, "My, this certainly does need a bit of salt, doesn't it." It was only some time afterward that my wife realized what a scathing criticism of the food that was.
