@alan It really would! And the notable _lack of experts_ is fascinating. The boosters and the people making "AI" systems are not the same people AT ALL. Like almost entirely disjoint.

@aredridel I'm nowhere near current in the field, but my somewhat informed opinion is "a lot of this stuff is cool, and belongs either in research labs or deployed in carefully studied applications, not in fucking chatbots."
