It's silly when AI proponents experience the inevitable and blame the AI stuff and not themselves. "I put my willy in the blender and it hurts now. Blender manufacturers have a lot to answer for!" Or as they word it: "Yesterday afternoon, an AI coding agent — Cursor running Anthropic's flagship Claude Opus 4.6 — deleted our production database and all volume-level backups in a single API call to Railway, our infrastructure provider. It took 9 seconds." What a silly billy.

It's the weirdest thing, how often you get these "whistleblowers" running around going "Robot lawnmowers are not a good minder for small dogs" with no sense of how many more turns on the helter-skelter they've taken than the average person. "You won't believe this story." It's got AI in it, and you seem to have hurt yourself, so I already do. Latest example, complete with numerous fuckups on the author's part: https://x.com/lifeof_jer/status/2048103471019434248 These are the people telling you to get on board.
