...recently, the covid spring of 2020 started a lot colder, as did 2018.
2020's average High of 0.7°C and Low of -8.9°C both ranked as 138th out of 147.
2018's High of 0.4°C was 139th, and Low of -8.3°C was 130th.

...the coldest starts to spring on record were 1948 & 1935. 1948's average High & Low were -2.7°C & -12.4°C. 1935's were -2.3°C & -13.2°C. (those are all about 5°C colder than this year) https://public.tableau.com/shared/Z555YWD4Q?:display_count=n&:origin=viz_share_link
