  Everyone knows the drill by now... Today's 21mm pushed Blatchford's July total up to 263.5mm. That's our 3rd biggest month on record. That's only our 3rd month to ever cross the 250mm mark. It's 10.4mm away from catching last month, and 24mm away from 1901's all-time record. #yegwx #yeg

  July 25th's storm pushed the July total up to 242.5mm, which is Blatchford's 3rd rainiest month on record. #yegwx #yeg The only months with more were 269.1mm last month, and 282.7mm in 1901.   It's still raining out there. #yegwx #yeg But as of 10PM Blatchford got another 15mm. That would push July close to 230mm.   Somehow it's both rainy & smoky? But this morning's rain pushed Blatchford's precipitation for 2026 up to 602.5mm. #yegwx #yeg That is Blatchford's 7th most on record. The last time Blatchford got to 600mm was 1978.   July 18th was our 4th 30°C High of the year. #yegwx #yeg Historically 4 would have been plenty for us. But recently we've had our top 3 years with 14 in 2025, 16 in 2024 & 17 in 2021. So with 1 day left Blatchford's 265.6mm is still 17.1mm short of the all-time monthly record of 282.7mm from July 1901.   April 24th wasn't warm, although its High did manage to make it above freezing. But that High of 1.3°C was the 5th coldest on record (recently 2008 was 2nd coldest).
