I'm all in with my tin foil hat on. This just stinks of a poorly staged propaganda event. Why was he even there? He hates that event. That security was ridiculous, the guy did a 100 yard dash right past everyone who were just standing around socializing. Trump immediately brought up his bunker/ballroom in the press conference. He's running out of time to get that built by January 2029.

Wouldn't surprise me either way tbh. He's a historically unpopular president who's daily doing things that are getting people killed or making their lives harder, a lot of people probably do want to off him. On the other hand, staging another assassination attempt is exactly the kind of crude showmanship he would go for and that will probably work on his base.

He staged all of his assassination attempts. Every single one. Dude wants to seem invincible to his base and rally them to think leftists are violent. That way he can pass laws that attack ideologies, like being anti fascist, or a socialist, or generally anything left leaning.

I don't generally consume conspiracy-related content beyond documented history and sensationalized entertainment. That said, it's relevant in a historical context that now, around half-a-dozen times, there have been significant security failures or breaches around this president leading to several near-miss assassination attempts. This is anomalous and doesn't really happen, because generally, the layers of security around a public presidential appearance are so strict it's essentially impossible to pull something like this off. Couple that with the documented fact that Donald views his administration as if it is a reality show, even picking top administration officials in part on how they look are able to speak in front of a camera. Those two facts, put together, make me think that it's not out of the question that these various assassination attempts are either staged or tacitly allowed and externally controlled.

It's almost like undermining and destroying journalism replaced with 24/7 infotainment corpo propaganda garbage boosting conspiracies over well sourced facts leaves you with a bunch of people who don't read primary sources and don't trust the news media networks owned by billionaires and corpo shareholders. Where's my leopards.

Trump engaged in a conspiracy to overturn the election in 2020 and very nearly succeeded in murdering congresspeople, so there's nothing particularly irrational about entertaining the thought that it's a conspiracy. A lot of news outlets are ignoring this fact, possibly due to the conspiracy taking place *right now* at the DOJ.

It's not a conspiracy theory if it's true.

The main thing that makes me think it's real is how boring the manifesto is - why write a nothingburger?

>Both left- and right-wing accounts claimed, without evidence, that the attack was staged. Weird, news outlets everywhere claim it's legitimate. odd, ain't it?

I don't think any of them were staged, but this seems much more likely than the others. The fact that this was the only Correspondence Dinner he attended, the generally muted reactions from most of the administration...it seems like them allowing this shootee to get as far as he did seems very possible. The fact that they seemed so pleased with themselves afterwards at least says that they see this as a big opportunity. I think that's a pretty big misread though. Outside of MAGA diehards and pearl clutching media elites, the reactions I've been seeing online vary from, "it's fake," to, "who gives a shit?" They're not going to be able to capitalize on this the same way they did in 2024.

If it's not staged in the sense they plan it outright, than i think they are using algorithms to convince people to do this shit. That's basically what gangstalking is...

I'm so happy I live in a world where these fucking idiots at legacy media can't put simple cause and effect together. They've relied on propagandizing through mass media and people don't know where to turn for reasonable information and now we have this type shit.

Strange that they say that now. The first one with the ear and photo op was much more obvious and largely believed by both their silly sides.

We all know staging a "vanity assassination attempt" is something he'd willingly do (even if it involved by standers getting killed). So discussing it only raises he profile.
