I understand - different levels of comfort.
A NAS is not a server in the sense you are thinking of - it's more like a USB stick. Only it is on your network, not plugged into your device.

@Amgine yeah I see but I am no longer 'plugged in' for internet access. It's all through my phone's hotspot now (I got a reasonably good dataplan) which works for me, but I'm sure my grown kids would prefer something more reliable than a NAS connected to 'mom's phone' that I take with me when I leave the house. (they have their own apartments) I want them to be able to use the nextcloud services even when i'm out of the house.
