The icon in particular was suprisingly hard to get right bc. macOS 26 has so many configurations for how icons can look like (clear, tinted, light/dark etc.)
Getting e.g. a help menu and links and stuff - trivial. SLOC of GNOME vs. macOS is pretty much 1:1.

@deobald@fantastic.earth @tbernard@mastodon.social For me it’s kind of a question of “who will be using it and what will they expect” I have pretty much only Linux and macOS users in my life, and shipping the GTK app on Windows is easy so I might just do that since _nobody_ ships WinUI 3, so it might try and see how maintainable it is for 1-2 releases and decide to either trash or continue
