I saw this comment earlier today regarding Fosstodon's announcement of defederation from mastodon.cloud.
"I'll move, but I don't see much evidence that this is really necessary. I'm doubtful that many/any instances are going to follow you."
I don't want this to be a post about the person who made the comment, so I'm not linking.
I am curious, how many instances have taken action against mastodon.cloud? Limits or blocks? I know Fosstodon isn't the first, and probably won't be the last.

@mike I am doubtful that many instances, that participate in active moderation, will *not* follow suit.

@mike I think Mastodon org needs to step in if possible and help legitimate users migrate to Mastodon.social while leaving the bots on mastodon.cloud where they can bother no-one.

@mike I saw some of the shit that @fosstodon was getting when the initial announcement was made, and it 1 million % re-affirmed that I made the right decision to step away. Godspeed!
