@skua Thank you. She just got the official diagnosis. She still can live on her own and drive, but I've noticed a decline. I've suspected something was wrong for a few years.
It is a lot. And I do not have a good relationship with her so I'm struggling a bit.

@NinjaNia I care for an elderly relative. From there: I get that you haven't had recently the sort of relationship you want with her. And, as I see it, one of the things that changes when a parent/person has dementia is what sort of relationship is called for. And you not ignoring her, now is big. As is preparing for a likely future. You've got big elements of a fitting relationship happening. If you're counting wins then I suggest chalk these up.
