Shouldn't we be banning algo feeds for everyone, then? If what you say is true, then kids are surely not the only ones being driven crazy.
Which seems to be already happening, even without legislation. Meta recently lost a court case about their feed algos being addictive.

@argv_minus_one @apz so all feed are definitely algorithmic, so you have to nail down first the harms, then the remedies. but this is the kind of thing we do all the time, when inspecting food or complying with building codes.
