@Crowsinger I've always thought I was lucky to have been raised by our parents who taught us names of the plants, the animals, the birds, the stones, the stars. They showed us how things work together to make a world deep with life, connection and beauty, and I've always loved going out in all seasons to see it all. But in the words of Aldo Leopold, "One of the penalties of an ecological education is that one lives alone in a world of wounds." Sometimes you're among the only ones who see it die.
