@quinn Shouldn't we be banning algo feeds for everyone, then? If what you say is true, then kids are surely not the only ones being driven crazy. Which seems to be already happening, even without legislation. Meta recently lost a court case about their feed algos being addictive. @apz

@quinn @argv_minus_one @apz I think one of the forces pushing for "age verification" laws is Facebook/Meta to try and regulate the victims of social media manipulation, in a way that makes personal data collection more valuable, rather than having Facebook regulated out of existence
