@gordoooo_z Colour inkjet printers are harder work than lasers (all me why I know!) and I know your pain wrt the hardware problems - I have been repairing printers on and off since the early 90s. Paper sensor levers do tend to go AWOL because they're usually very fragile and go through millions of duty cycles. Moving the paper tray in and out, and every page that passes through causes wear... And they just work, until they don't. Often it's the micro switch that they activate that dies, not often the lever itself. Hopefully you won't have to dismantle it too much to get to the part. If it's the switch, they are usually COTS parts so you can buy online and solder on to the existing wire. If it is the lever... That will be "fun". Good luck!

@cybervegan This is a black and white laser actually. Colour inkjets are pretty much dead to me (this is a bald faced lie. I've got a DesignJet sitting in my office waiting to be fixed, but that's wide format so it doesn't count lol). In this case, basically I can tell that it tries to pick up the paper, but when it gets to the roller, nothing happens (when I open the tray, the top sheet has been visibly lifted up to, but not past, the roller). The user manual recommends cleaning the rollers, but the rollers are completely fine. I ended up on a thread on some forum where someone who'd been through this explained about a little lever that goes out of place, and doesn't even require disassembly to see or adjust, but when I looked at that spot on mine, that little white lever is just entirely not present. The last time I needed to print something, I plugged it in, printed the thing, and then unplugged it and put it on the floor in my office. So seeing as that part isn't sitting in the paper tray itself, I have to assume it's fallen deeper inside 🤷
