@rashunda what is giving me range anxiety is the inconsistency of distance coverage of a charge as other variables need to be considered for accurate estimate but that’s not transparent to me for refueling calculus e.g. If I leave home with car charged at 89%, what distance does that cover? For petrochemical fuel, the level gauge is a good indicator. For EV, give me the variables that impact that pattern so I can make informed choices, like when & where I stop to refuel to get to my destination.

@dahukanna @rashunda TBH, the ICE level is not a good measure either. The same kind of extra consumption will happen with either energy source. What is probably happening is that the way the range estimate is calculated is different? But frankly, if you drop below 100 or maybe only 50km, stop and search either a gas station or a charging station. Or maybe I'm missing something else? Regenerative braking, maybe, which can make the calculation harder? I rather have a false negative... #EV

For an EV, the things that will shorten your range (in approximate order of decreasing effect): 1. Going uphill 2. Face wind 3. Speed 4. Cold temperature Did I miss anything?
