@androcat they also managed to convince a lot of writers that they are the simplest path to revenue. Which has to factor in to how we approach people we want to get onto something else.

@laprice In fact, it seems they have created a narrative that they are the ONLY path to revenue. There's for sure some sort of synergy effect going on (the very same thing they apply to promote far right standpoints - they got their start promoting newsletters for "libertarians" that snootily blamed poor people for not being born rich and other such bullshit). I think it would be good to find out how we can boost the audience for alternatives specifically.
