@Pollinators I don’t really use use the amendments on the mulches. Perhaps I should but I save their use for the growing plants. There are two amendments I’ll use directly on mulch or ground with no vegetatation: LAB to help open the soil prior to sowing or planting in spring and the other is an alfalfa and seaweed based extract that is high in triacontinol. It’s supposedly a good protozoa feed which in turn feed the earthworms. I used that last autumn/winter on the plot. @LifeTimeCooking

    @Broadfork @LifeTimeCooking Four, four buckets of stinging nettle with water. One, one bucket of comfrey plants from the no dig garden. Oh. We had to dig in the no dig garden. Rouge comfrey gets large in one growing season. It’s all going to be water extract multivitamins to manage the quantities. The onions, leeks, shallots and cabbages are going in. Some comfrey has to go. Ok. The soil temperature is 10.5 Celsius. #nodig, #minnesota, #Zone4b
