@rauschma @tsyesika @erincandescent @rhiaro @evan Btw the predecessor to @mray's artwork was that I wrote up the tutorial as a plaintext tutorial with ascii art. I had woken up one morning energized by the energy of @VamptVo starting work on implementing ActivityPub in Mastodon IIRC (or maybe it preceded that slightly?) and blasted out that tutorial in a document. I then thought "this is pretty good" and put it in the top of the ActivityPub specification

At that point @mray reached out and said "hey this tutorial is good but it really needs better artwork" and just handed me the INCREDIBLE vector graphics art that went into the AP tutorial immediately and really made it sing At that point, a bunch of oldschool w3c standards people started suggesting we remove the tutorial from the top of the document and move it into its own "primer" doc. I strongly felt that would be a mistake and insisted we keep it, which I think was right
