@thomasbeagle When you’re 65 it magically becomes free for that year only, then goes back to being expensive when you turn 66. It’s a pretty quirky system on that one.

I was extremely grumpy to shell out $750 in my early 50s a month before eligibility changed to allow people with my medical condition to get a shot for free, and no-one told me 😖

@thomasbeagle We absolutely shouldn't have to pay for these vaccines, but what's the alternative? I do get that by paying we are complicit both in letting the govt know they can get away with not funding stuff if the horror stories are bad enough; and accepting an unequal health system. But not doing it seems more like cutting off our noses to spite our faces than sticking to higher ethical principles.

@thomasbeagle my partner just did the same and I will do the same next year. Apparently global medical advice is for 55+ but of course we don’t follow that here …
