@thomasbeagle When you’re 65 it magically becomes free for that year only, then goes back to being expensive when you turn 66. It’s a pretty quirky system on that one.

@thirzajane Yes, the 12 month magic period is pretty odd. As for the age 65 thing - I've already had shingles in my early 50s and my partner got it in their late 40s! I did check that it's still recommended to have the vaccination even if you've already had shingles.
