Alarmingly large kitchen lights ✅ Bed on a precarious loft ✅ Bunker garage ✅ https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/137-Forest-Ln-Lopez-Island-WA-98261/61003983_zpid/

@weirdestate There is a lot that I deeply enjoy about this house, and a lot that I deeply do not. Wow.

@weirdestate scary scary lights, I would not want to stand under them! (visions of scene in Monsters Inc. with their containment domes)

@weirdestate Those lights manage to make the kitchen darker during the daytime. Mission accomplished.

@weirdestate I could imagine having a place like this to spend some time in, although I suspect the isolation would get real. Can't imagine the heating costs, with one big space which goes up and up. And as an Australian, obligatory comment about bushfire risk.

  • @weirdestate Only 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with that much space? Well, it's airy! I like the cool Cones of Silence disguised as lamps. I'd have a civil engineering firm assess the slope, but it's an interesting property.

@weirdestate Sliding blast doors for all ground floor openings ✅️ TBH despite the rich prepper vibes, a few tweaks and it would be amazing. I do wonder what was going on here...

@weirdestate Also, the price drop from $4million down to $1.2million over the course of the last year has to have an interesting backstory.

@weirdestate "Previously listed for $3,295,000." Yes, but it was listed before that for $3,595,000, and it finally sold after seven months on the market for only $1,200,000. The question is, what's wrong with it? I'm going to guess it's the stupidly high heating bill even in the summer. (And the stupidly large kitchen lights which don't hang over the prep areas.)

@weirdestate Cabin in the woods taken to new levels. Is that an abandoned church repurposed into a honeymoon shack? Retaining it's function as a place of worship? My authorbrain says this is an amazing setting for all kinds of horror.

@weirdestate I wonder if the main job of this place is to get rented out for weddings or company retreats or something.

@weirdestate @BestPreston has a weird melbourne underground train station vibe to it - the orange lighting perhaps?
