Ever since I got my home router and put the Telus/ISP service on "bridge mode" I have been getting a constant merry-go-round of IP addresses that I think has been wrecking havoc with my home lab and wifi.
This morning I woke up to no internet connection because the IP had changed yet again to an entirely different subnet. Everything eventually came back on its own.
Currently on support-chat with Telus to try to get a Static IP. We'll see if I can convince them...

@chris@socialbc.ca that's interesting. I have Shaw/Rogers, and by default my public IP never changed. I even set up a python script to check and update it if it does, but I never got to see it in action yet, haha

@chris@socialbc.ca I remember you saying you went with an alternative router to the Telus one. Does that company offer a DDNS service by chance? I have mine set up with ASUS’s service which gives me a domain name, which I point a CNAME entry to.

@chris@socialbc.ca Eeek. I know my ISP rotates the IPv4 assignment on every PPPoE reconnection. IPv6 though doesn’t change, because I asked for a static assignment. I have to pick up that assignment using DHCPv6-PD, but it’s always the same prefix.
