@paige Seems like the Liberals had plenty of time to get something built if it had been a priority. One can worry about policy lurch when governing parties change, but we'll probably have had at least 14 years of Liberals in power before another party takes over.

@mpjgregoire @paige political parties have their core focus and interests, it took the Ontario liberals a long time to get to HSR too, still got cancelled immediately when the government changed. Very likely that if the Liberals get in again in the 2030s they could well not do anything on rail until the second term. That’s why I think continuity of a decent idea is more important than the idea.
