@Giselle I find as I've gotten older, I really like revisiting what I did in the past. I'd go to Google Maps and browse where I was 5 years ago. Revisit the trip from Kansas to NJ and refresh my memory of the things I'd done on it. Kind of mad GMaps moved to storing trip data on the phone and only 90 days worth. I took screenshots of my KS->NJ trip. I have a crapton of photos and they're poorly organized, but I love exploring them. I wish I had more photos and artifacts from my youth.

@raven That's a shame. I found that I don't remember all that much from childhood or youth. I chucked a diary from some teenage years because it was all about living in my head and shaping myself into bretzels over it. It was so off-putting to skim that I chucked it. I'm happier with my approach to life now. I have a few mementos from when I was younger, I think I'm okay with those. My siblings occasionally refresh my memory, they usually know stuff that I don't recall. Weird thing, memory.

@raven But it can make us feel a bit down to want more mementos than we have. Could you look for some? Maybe old newspaper clippings or photos of the place you grew up in? It might jog personal memories.
