There's been a couple times over the last few years when I'll look out the window and think "nice day for a ride" and then find myself miles from anywhere without a drop of liquid ney a penny in my pocket in blazing heat watching my eyesight posterize and thinking to myself: "I'm going to die, aren't I?" #BikeTooter

I nearly did this last year with the then new ebike that overheated somewhere up a hill outside of who-knows-where. The ride back was *really* hairy. #BikeTooter

@ohmrun@indieweb.social "Why can't you leave the house without military operation level planning and a suitable time gap to maybe remember whatever you will inevitably have forgotten?" Because I have been this person too many times and I am too old for the results

  • @ohmrun@indieweb.social "...watching my eyesight posterize". Love that description. Along with tunnel vision from the hypoglycemia.

@ohmrun@indieweb.social I did that to my self once riding to an event 30+ miles away. Got water at the event.. was rationing on the way home and ... there was a full can of Miller Lite on the side of the road. I drank that so fast :)
