  I use exwm (the Emacs window manager) on a Debian stable system. As far as I can tell, I have customised everything I can to bring up either eww or firefox when I need to browse the web (eww preferred but some sites need a graphical interface with javascript, e.g. my bank). Annoyingly, for some reason, opening a URL sometimes brings up librewolf. I cannot see anywhere in my config that references librewolf. Does anybody have any suggestion on how to figure out why librewolf is being run inste...

  Just got my electricity stats from the energy company. April was a good month. Imported 34 kWh (average of just over 1 kWh per day) but exported 284 kWh (almost 10 kWh per day)! #SolarPower #RenewableEnergy #ClimateCrisis

  I will be examining a PhD student soon. I have to read their thesis. I brought out my reMarkable e-ink tablet to use it to read and annotate the thesis. So much better than using a laptop or (even worse) printing it out and carrying 200+ pages around... I am continually impressed with this tablet.   Voted! But what a palaver: show polling card, they ask for name and address (even though these are printed on the polling card), show ID ("what kind of ID is this?" when I give them my bus pass), write down voting ballot numbers next to my name (secret vote; what's that?), go and vote (but only one person at a time although the stand caters for 4 at a time with dividers for privacy). #UKLocalElections

  Went out for a ride this morning. I started on the Worth Way (old rail line) and, as it was a lovely day, I just kept going, passing through East Grinstead and then down the Forest Way (yet another old rail line).   Cycled the Downs Link from Christ's Hospital to Brighton via Shoreham-by-sea. A large segment of the route goes alongside the River Adur. We were lucky with the weather for once!
