I built a VM to test Manjaro in it because it's Arch based but apparently not quite so tailored for masochists. I made a mistake so I ended up having to do the installer over again. I stepped away to do life stuff and the screensaver came up on the Installer and it required a password to unlock. So then I had to use a search engine to find the password for the installer. In theory, it's now installed but I can't tell because first boot is apparently brutal. Having a screensaver on an Installer is wild but I can see the log in it. Typically, even the password you set up inside the installer isn't in play until the computer boots up under the new OS so, if you step away for a few minutes, someone could royally mess up your computer. It's slightly possible the issue with the boot is being caused by having given it only 8GB of RAM ... This may come across as a bit of a gripe post. It's not meant to be. It's just processing.

Fourteen minutes after this post, it's still doing that. Powered it off, gave it 16GB of RAM. We'll see if it has booted by the next time I check it. My computer only has 32GB of RAM at all so my computer is probably going to be pretty silly for a while.
