I saw this in a café (Le Boxx in Malmö - their coffee is outstanding!) and I can&#39;t find a logical flaw in the argument. &quot;Capitalism will never eliminate homelessness because the threat of homelessness motivates low wages&quot;

@markisevil@mastodon.ie That argument seems to assume that capitalists conspire together - which may be true. The counter-argument is that if there's a profit to be made from housing people, it only takes one capitalist to break from the cartel.

@markisevil@mastodon.ie It's called "disciplining workers". Insufficient mental health care and a nightmarish torture machine standing where disability accommodations should be, contribute. Vote for moar police because ew scary people in tents, etc. Keep reminding people, it could always be worse.... And overwhelm those who try to give proper support, to exhaust them and make them regret it. Weaponized reservoir of need.
