@etchedpixels yeah, I knew there would be at least one line of Basic for a USR, but thought I might be able to not do the saving line etc.
More, I was just interested in what is actually saved that indicates that a basic program should be running, rather than just loaded.
I guess I could write a simpler program,c then look at the .p files saved both ways and see if I could spot the difference. 🤔

@Hundstrasse so you would need to set the basic system variables up so that the next line to run and the like were correct. From the ROM disassembly book that ought to work, but the save line after the REM for the code is so short I never tried it
