Next, read an play with #HomeAssistant with the aim of: - logging/monitoring humidity and temp - remote access via web (and app?) - ensuring settings/data are backed up somewhere (eventually) Any tips suggestions welcome, to start with on ways to set up the HA dashboard for basic monitoring. #HomeLab

@happyborg Adding a graph card is pretty easy it will show you the logged temperature and humidity. i use this in my climate control dashboard along with thermostats for both zones in our house.

@happyborg if you don't need super pretty dashboard, you can use the auto entities plugin, which can add all entities that match a criteria into a list (e.g. device_class: humidity) https://github.com/thomasloven/lovelace-auto-entities Home assistant also arranges things by rooms now automatically in the default dashboard, so that might work better for you (just assign the right room to each sensor device)

@happyborg regarding remote access, you can either: 1) setup a VPN access to your home network (harder but free), 2) pay the nabu casa cloud subscription (easy but costs money). If you want it to just work, go with the second option. You get a voice assistant functionality as a bonus plus get to support an awesome open source project.
