@Fishd From what I read out of it, you mean the updates offered to you via GNOME Software or KDE Discover right? Fedora uses a seperate "install mode" (systemd-target) to actually install the updates prior to the login page at reboot, which reminded me of Microsofts way of installing updates and it annoyed me too. - Download the updates - Reboot - Install updates - Reboot You can use your computer again. There is a way to do automatic background downloads (and installs) of updates using dnf-automatic. Works well and I can recommend it. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/quick-docs/autoupdates/
