@jdp23 @jens @stefanie @haubles I feel like largely we are all realizing that social media (web 2) was a huge mistake. We were never supposed to have this much access to each other. We are all generally cunts, and we can't deal with this psychologically. Fedi is the methadone to the heroin of corpo social media.

@fiend_unpleasant Funny you mention web 2, because web 2.0 (as we olds used to call it) was explicitly about re-use and re-mixing. It started out with snippets you'd publish on one site and include on another. Structured data. RSS is actually very much a web 2.0 technology. REST, while originally relating to HTTP/1.1, is also very much a web 2.0 thing because the RESTful hype that followed it was all about somewhat standardizing interaction patterns between ... @jdp23 @stefanie @haubles
