@robin I wish more leftists understood the need to participate in boards, commissions and panels. My previous work on the Renton planning commission will have far more community impact over time than all of the political organizing I ever was a part of.

@reflex yeah it's unglamorous but extremely important work. I'm working to cultivate that appreciation among the local DSA chapter and among the community around Petaluma Pride. Also, it's frequently where future candidates for office get started!
