Do you guys put an upturned bucket or bin over it? I remember the old allotment men used to do that. Something about it being sweeter and less stringy. They used to do it for a short time once the shoots pop up. Obviously this is just a distant memory so maybe fact check me. :))

@dar this never occurred to me! But it doesn’t tend to get very stringy in our short growing season. Maybe that’s why?
