@dar this never occurred to me! But it doesn’t tend to get very stringy in our short growing season. Maybe that’s why?

@transitionalaspect oddly I looked it up earlier. It's called 'forcing the rhubarb' and it's done in order to get an earlier crop in our short northern growing season.
