@mattiem what I will say is, when I look at my life, the things I’m proud of are what I’ve created, not what I did to create them. I love my tools, and I hate my tools, but my pride is in my artifacts. I sign my name in my artifacts.
Do I *deserve* to be paid more than a plumber or an electrician? These skills all require system understanding, design, and execution talent. What makes one worth more than another? Does scarcity of skill have virtuous implications?
