@alan Good luck on making the step in regulation into more of a slope. Of course my eyes stopped when you said "until I get an EV." I wonder how many miles you drive per month and if you wouldn't be able to make money by trading in for an EV immediately.

@RustedComputing The calculation is somewhat more complex than a direct comparison of input costs. For my climate I wish hydrogen fuel cell vehicles were more available, but battery tech is moving at a sufficient pace where a BEV will soon be a viable choice. Meanwhile, we seek to minimize vehicle use and are averaging <1,000 km/month. For a rural area, that's not bad.
